With a team bringing over 20 years of experience gained through national and international projects, StraSpace develops data-driven, implementable strategies and solutions across diverse scales and geographies, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards. PEOPLE AND EXPERTISE
Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek | Founder and Managing Director, City and Regional Planner
Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek, Founder and Managing Director of StraSpace, is a city and regional planner with over 20 years of national and international experience, specializing in spatial planning, regional development, social impact assessment, resettlement, and geographic information systems (GIS). He holds a Master’s degree in City Planning and a PhD in Regional Development from Middle East Technical University (METU), and has served as a team leader and key expert on numerous projects implemented in accordance with international standards.
He has extensive project experience in urban and regional strategy development, resilience and sustainability planning, transport analytics, social impact assessment and management, and resettlement.
Dr. Çiçek is a member of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects – Chamber of City Planners (UCTEA), the Turkish National Committee for Regional Science, the Regional Science Association International (RSAI), and the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA). Through his academic background and field experience, he contributes to strengthening StraSpace’s methodological approach.
Our Technical Team
The StraSpace team has an interdisciplinary structure comprising city and regional planners, sociologists, economists, engineers, GIS specialists, and data analysts. Specialized in spatial analysis, impact assessment, and resettlement services, our team effectively utilizes GIS, remote sensing, and AI-supported analytical tools to deliver data-driven, implementable, and high-quality solutions.
